Hip
It has been written in the news that Our Community is a very hip place
to live. I am not really sure what that means, but I think it has something
to do with the fact that if you have a lucky night all of the right
things happen and you meet all of the right people. One time I went
shopping at the Williamsburg mall and bought the most perfect outfit.
I just walked into the store and there it was on the model, made exactly
for me. I wore it out to an exclusive local restaurant that night. The
food tasted much better than ever before, and I think that people liked
me more.

Hunger
Hunger
is very powerful. It is the raw, physical form of desire. When I am really
hungry, there are lots of places around where I live on Bedford and S.
3rd , where I can get hearty food fast. I just walk up to the counter,
take a seat next to the rest of the guys, and slouch over a heaping plate
of habichuelas, arroz, y medio pollo. I can eat really fast and not worry
about acting cool or proper. Maybe this is because I don t know most of
the people in the restaurant, so I am not afraid of what they will say
about me to their friends. All I need to concentrate on is satiating my
appetite. It is so satisfying.

Dinner
Dinner
satisfies hunger, but it also builds relationships. My family and I used
to eat dinner together every night in the suburban town where I grew up,
North Attleboro, Massachusetts. You dine with the people who are part
of your exclusive social network. When you invite someone out to dinner,
it means that you want to get closer with them. The people who live on
my block like to meet each other at the local restaurants. It s the same
on all of the blocks in Our Community.
